NEW MOON IN GEMINI: REWRITING THE BLUEPRINT OF BELIEF | SOUL ARCHAEOLOGY

I knew that Saturn shifting into Aries would feel like the turning of a page. And this is the spark of that new chapter. It feels like we're looking at blank pages and we get to decide what goes on to those pages. We get to decide what it will look and feel like with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries.

This is a rewriting, a turning of a page, a new beginning. For about an entire month until July, when both Neptune and Saturn station retrograde, we have this activated, mobilized energy in Aries. June in particular is one of the most positive and supportive months astrologically of 2025.

NEW TERRAIN

The last time Saturn and Neptune were together was the mid 1800s. So we are definitely working through some new terrain. These are new beginnings. The zero point of Aries is a new beginning. This year is once again a push and a pull. We had a lot of pull back in the beginning of the year. Now we're experiencing that forward momentum.

What does it look like to build new framework, new terrain? We are the architects of our reality. How do we want it to look? How do we want it to feel? This is the point where we begin creating that reality through our thoughts and our subconscious.

THE MIND

This week in particular is a major week for our mind. This week is all about Mercury in Gemini. On May 25th we have Mercury entering Gemini. Mercury is the ruler of Gemini, so it loves to be here. It feels free, it feels open, it feels playful, it feels mobilized. It loves to be in mutable air.

On the 26th, we have the New Moon in Gemini at 9:02 PM Pacific, and this New Moon's at six degrees. So it's in the beginning stages of Gemini. This is fresh new energy.

We have the New Moon in Gemini. We have the Sun in Gemini, obviously, we have the Moon in Gemini. We have Mercury in Gemini conjunct this New Moon. So there's a lot of Gemini energy. There's a lot of focus on the mental part of who we are: thoughts, communications, ideas, beliefs. This week is all about movement, action, change, play, curiosity.

It should hopefully begin to feel lighter.

We have Jupiter and Saturn moving towards a square that will exact on June 15th. This is the third of a series of squares that began in August of last year. Jupiter has been in Gemini since May of 2024. So this is a time to sort through all of the chaos that has been surfacing since that time. This is a time to bring more intention and awareness to our mental programs. This is a time to rewrite them.

We have a lot of supportive energy this week. We have Mercury sextile Saturn and Neptune, this New Moon sextile Saturn and Neptune. We also have Mercury, the Sun and Moon trining Pluto, which is supportive as well to go a little bit deeper to find the roots of the beliefs, to really excavate our experiences that have brought us to this place. Why we believe what we believe, why we think what we think, why we communicate the way we do.

So there's a lot of support in the sky right now. We have fresh energy to work with. We have a glimpse into what the next chapter will look like, especially as these planets move into Aries in early 2026.

CREATION

This phase is about rewriting, recreating, putting things down on paper, actualizing, materializing, creating. It's even a little bit of a test run because we have these planets moving back into Pisces in the fall. But June is all about creation.

As we wind down May, we get to sit with what we've learned, what we've gathered, without judgement or criticism, but simply curiosity. What has the first half of 2025 felt like for you? What have you learned? What have you gained? What have you lost?

Each and every planet, each and every sign tells a story about who we are, what we're learning, and how we're growing—the different parts of self that we're working through.

GEMINI: THE BRIDGE OF DUALITY

Gemini rules the mind. It's the twins. It's contradiction, duality. It's a mutable air sign, so it's all about change and information movement. This New Moon is a new beginning. All New Moons signal the beginning of a new lunar cycle, and this New Moon in particular really feels like a new beginning.

We've had these eclipse New Moons, we've had eclipse season this year. It's felt like we were going backwards more than we were going forwards. This New Moon will quite literally feel fresh, new, exciting, curious. It might feel scattered, but that is one of the evolutionary purposes of Gemini: to be the bridge, to hold contradiction, to hold nuance, to hold the gray, to hold the mutable, to hold duality.

Can you be OK, perhaps, with not having a formed plan or blueprint for what this future timeline holds? But can you collect information? Can you remain curious? Can you notice the thoughts and belief systems?

OUR THOUGHTS: THE BUILDING MATERIALS

These are quite literally the lumber, the steel that form the infrastructure of what we're building. If we are the architects, our thoughts are the materials that we use, what actually takes and shapes the home, the building, what we're creating - our reality.

So it's a time of taking inventory: what materials are we working with? What does this landscape look like? What languaging are we using? Are we going to build on the same blueprint as before, or are we trying something new? Are we going to refresh our belief systems and our languaging to meet a new blueprint, something that's reflective of where we want to be rather than where we have been?

Gemini's evolutionary purpose is to remain curious, to gather and spread information like a butterfly or a bee. In order to do that, it needs to be able to hold duality, to hold nuance, to hold gray.

If it shuts down and gets pulled into one side, into one way of thinking, into one pole, it can't be present for the richness that's found in the gray, that's found in the in-between, that's found in the nuance, that's found in the conversations that need to be had, but we're afraid to have because there's too much duality, there's too much contrast.

Its purpose is to remain open, to remain curious, to connect with others, to network, to experience life without necessarily having to distill truth, without having to make sense of things but simply experience it. Sagittarius's job is to distill down to truth, to create and make sense of what we're learning, what we're experiencing. Gemini is just meant to be in it.

This is a new opportunity to see things from a new perspective. This is all about the expansion of our awareness and our consciousness. We can't expand if we are pigeonholed into a side, or into a belief or into a dogma. We can't expand if we aren't willing to move beyond the certainty that dogma provides and into the nuance in the gray.

That's where expansion occurs. When we're able to move beyond the thresholds of our own belief systems, our own thought processes, the way we've done things before, that's where true expansion occurs. We all know that if we continue to believe the same things and do the same things, we'll always remain the same. We're using the same materials to build with. We're using the same exact blueprint. We'll keep creating the same exact house or structure.

If we want new, we have to go down into our belief systems: where do they originate from? This is what Pluto is going to help us with this week. We might get some good info and material on, "Oh, this comes from this place." Then we can get into the work—the somatic work, the subconscious rewiring.

Gemini is simply the messenger. It's revealing and showing us what our belief systems are, and then it's our job to utilize this energy and to utilize the tools and the resources we already have to excavate the spaces. But this week is more of a data collection week.

THE ART OF CURIOSITY

It's a great time to journal, to notice what your thought patterns are, to notice your beliefs, to notice what comes up when you experience something. We are always growing and evolving as individuals, as a collective, as a species. We're learning new things. There is no shame in changing your mind, shifting to a new perspective because we're always collecting new data.

This is why I kind of giggle when people say they only believe in science or they only believe in spirituality because we're always collecting new data. We use such a tiny portion of our brain. We are always learning new things and the reality is we know so little. We know as much as our ego can handle.

That's the true reality of the situation: we can only go as far as our ego allows us to. So the work of now is how to break down some of those walls of the ego, how to allow ourselves to maybe move a little bit more into the center to see perhaps what the other side is talking about, to question our own beliefs, to question our own stance, our own perspective.

Are we being pigeonholed? Are we falling into this duality? Are we choosing a side just because it's what we've always done or what's familiar? It's fine to choose a side. It's totally fine to have a strong opinion or perspective on something. But where we get into trouble is when we shut down within that space. When we no longer are willing to receive information that could contradict what we hold to be true. When we live within an echo chamber, only surrounding ourselves with people who believe the same things, who think the same ways, who vote the same ways.

This is dangerous because we stop growing, we stop evolving. We stop expanding. Like I said before, we use such a small portion of our brains. If we remained fixed back in the 1500s, we would still be afraid of the ocean. We would still be afraid of washing. We would still be bloodletting. But knowledge and wisdom and science has evolved since then. But that does not mean it is fixed. That does not mean that what we know now will forever be true. It's just what we know now based upon the level of consciousness that we're at.

Ideally, we keep growing and evolving. Humans learn from making mistakes. This is where I think Gemini really comes into play: we have to remain curious. We have to remain mutable to some degree.

CONTRADICTION

Yes, decisions, clarity, even choosing a side is important often. But it's when we remain fixed and unable to hold the nuance, hold the contradiction, hold the potential for being wrong, where we get into trouble.

This isn't even just in relation to others—this is also internal. Can we hold the internal contradiction, the internal duality? Can we be OK with being wrong? Can we be OK with recognizing that something is much different than what we thought it was for most of our lives? Can we be OK that we have contrasting parts, that we're not simply always on the same page internally?

So often I have people coming to me that say they're in this double bind where it's like, "I know I need to do something but I can't. This part of me feels this way, but I know that's not how I really, truly feel." We have multiple parts of us operating all the time. We have younger parts, more wounded parts, less evolved parts of us that were frozen in time that act and believe a certain way. And we have our higher self that can see from that eagle's eye perspective what's really right and true for us in this moment.

INTEGRATION

It's not about making one of these parts right or wrong. It's about integrating it. It's about finding wholeness even in and amidst the duality. Can we be OK with experiencing the wound while wanting to do something totally and completely different?

Shame separates, love and compassion unites. This is the work. Can you see that wounded part and say, "I know why you're doing this, I know why you feel this way, and I still love you. Let's maybe explore a new way together."

It takes time and it takes practice, and integration doesn't happen immediately, but we can have these spontaneous quantum leaps when we allow space and time for these parts to be seen, witnessed, and integrated.

This is what I love about Gemini: it teaches us that contradiction can exist and we can still get along, that we don't have to make someone else wrong to be right, and instead we can actually be curious about what they believe. This is the same thing internally. One part doesn't have to be wrong in order for you to choose a new pathway.

The work of Gemini, the work of this time, is to be able to hold duality, contrast, complexity, the gray, and still remain open, still remain curious to create inner union with our many different parts. This is the integration of self.

Gemini's all about dialogue, asking questions, conversing - something that we have lost. We have lost the art of conversation. We have lost the art of connection. I personally love Geminis because of this, because we can have these really complex conversations and they can feel light because we aren't needing to derive this distilled truth from it.

One of my best friends is like a triple Gemini and we have some of the most expansive conversations because we don't need to know what the truth is in order to navigate those realms. I know that there's no judgement from her. I know that I can talk about something and say, "I actually don't know. This is something I've been exploring, but I don't know how I feel about it quite yet."

For me, that's the most expansive space. I have a Sagittarius moon, so I have this tendency to want to find the side, find the pole, find the truth. My work is to always remain open, to always question, to always say "I've changed my mind" or "I might not know," or "I'm simply not ready to form an opinion on this."

In the social media world, the world where everyone has a label and a brand and is meant to take a stance on something, there's so much pressure to form opinions and to form a stance on almost everything. The truth is that often times this stance is formed on shaky ground. It's formed on misinformation. We simply cannot know everything.

THE UNKNOWN

I think that's the beauty of Gemini, what it teaches us as well - the medicine is that we can't know everything, nor are we meant to. We can gather information, but we don't always need to form an opinion on something simply to appease others.

Gemini can often be seen as two-faced or scattered, but really at its core, it's just able to hold duality, navigate duality and not choose a side, but to learn how to hold both, hold the contrast, hold the complexity.

I will say that often times when we feel pressure or we feel uncomfortable not choosing a side, staying in the gray, remaining neutral or maybe not even neutral, but just simply undecided... when we find that challenging and feel the pressure of choosing, deciding, aligning with a side or a strong perspective or a black and white perspective, we're often operating from a very young part of us where life was black and white, a part of us that existed within a world where there was a lot of certainty that was needed.

Our brains were only developed to a certain point to hold black and white. We weren't developed enough to hold contrast and nuance and gray. So if you find yourself pigeonholed within that space, ask what part of you is afraid of looking at things from a new perspective, of maybe looking at the fact that two truths can exist at once.

If you're feeling this contradiction, this inner contradiction arises, well, can it be OK that you are both ready for this new beginning and also terrified by it? Can you find some space to create more union within? Can you let both of those truths be held and witnessed?

Gemini is the space between contradiction. It seeks connection through contrast. If you know Geminis, they're oftentimes very curious. They want to know about the "other side." They want to understand, they want to even connect with many different types of people.

REWRITING MENTAL PATTERNS

This New Moon means that our mental programs are highlighted and illuminated, and we have an opportunity to begin anew, to rewrite, to witness them and perhaps hold the gray, hold the contrast, hold the fact that there might be another way.

There is no shame in changing our mind. There's no shame in expanding past where we've been before. In so many ways, I think that we seek familiarity even in the most subtle, unconscious ways. That includes our thoughts and our beliefs. Are we pigeonholing ourselves? Are we becoming atrophied because we're afraid of exploring what's beyond our current consciousness?

This is really about authenticity, not consistency. We're meant to begin again. We're meant to create big change within our lives right now. It's OK to do things differently. It's OK to change your mind. It's OK to pivot.

We're moving from this heavy, mutable era to cardinal era. initiation, action. When we initiate, it's meant to come from an evolved, mature space within us. So this New Moon is revealing to us where we're operating from. What materials are we using? What blueprint are we using? Better yet, is it a blueprint aligned with maturation or is it a blueprint aligned with the old way, the wounded way?

I think one of the biggest pieces of maturation, which Saturn will teach us, and this Gemini New Moon is illuminating, especially because we have Uranus moving into Gemini in July... so we are going to have to get comfortable with contrast, with contradiction, with complexity, with gray, with nuance.

We might not ever know if AI is good or bad, but it is what it is. Can we hold that and let it be OK? Part of maturation is being able to hold contrast. When we're black and white, we're often operating from a young part of us. Not always, of course, but often, and this is more of an invitation to examine if you were operating from that young place or not.

THE GEMINI: THE BRIDGE

When integrated, Gemini becomes the bridge between the left brain and the right brain, logic and intuition, the mind and body, self and the other. It reminds us that duality doesn't have to mean division. It can mean dialogue, curiosity, integration. It is wholeness that is wide enough to hold it all, capacity to hold it all.

When I've learned more and more about evolution and change, specifically in my advanced somatic training and practitioner training that I'm in, is that safety can't always come from certainty. Sometimes it comes from acceptance, and really it comes from the ability to hold nuance and gray.

We can never be certain of the future, and we never want to derive safety from that. We want to derive it from the ability to hold many different potentials and know that we will still be OK, that we still have a connection to self, that we still have a connection to source, that we still have a connection to the Earth, that something wider and bigger can hold us than our own psyche.

THE UNKNOWN

Like I said in the last episode, Saturn in Aries is also contradictory. It's a contradiction within itself. It's a paradox. It's this need to go and initiate and this need to slow down and master. Over the next few years, we're going to have to learn how to sit in this contradiction, sit in the discomfort of not knowing what this new timeline looks like for us. each individually and collectively. We're building capacity to hold more, more uncertainty.

Once Uranus enters into Gemini, we are going to be blasting off. wild things like telepathy, time travel, things that we've hinted at and sort of known. It's been in pop culture. But we're going to see systems, vehicles for these advancements. We're going to start learning more about the brain, learning more about our actual potential as humans.

We're going to have to sit with the unknown a lot, whether or not these advancements are good or not good for society, for our species, for evolution. We're always going to be gathering information, making decisions based upon what we think is best at the time, and knowing we always have the ability to change our minds, to pivot, and to reroute.

THE MUSCLE OF CONTRADICTION

We're working with the medicine of contradiction, which is a muscle that we desperately need to strengthen as a species.

This New Moon is illuminating where we perhaps split off from our deeper emotional truth in favor of our psyche, our intellectual safety, the safety that we find in making something right or wrong or choosing a side over identifying with our mental constructs in order to avoid the unknown.

This Moon is also conjunct Mercury and loosely conjunct Uranus, with Uranus being at the late degrees of Taurus. It's also sextile Saturn and Neptune and trine Pluto. So we have some really supportive energy around this New Moon. This is about remaining open, expanding the mind.

Over the next few months there could be sudden insights, revelations. Uranus leaving Taurus and moving into Gemini in July is going to be groundbreaking—fast, quick change. With the support of Saturn and Neptune, this New Moon does hold opportunity to begin to materialize and form new beliefs.

This New Moon is a soft, gentle, perhaps reset of how we think, speak, process, how we perceive life. This is initiating a new cycle around language, our thoughts, our beliefs, and the stories that we tell ourselves and others.

THE MIND AND THE HEART

Now the shadow of Gemini is that it wants to remain surface level. It can be scattered or split. This is a time to really attune to the deeper wisdom beneath the activation, beneath the feeling. This is about excavating our early conditioning around the need to be adaptable or mentally quick in order to be safe or loved.

What I mentioned before is that black and white—there may be old karmic threads around over-identifying with the mind or even using words to avoid deeper emotional truths, what we're really experiencing.

So the work of this Moon is to bring your heart back in when you're utilizing your mind. The idea is that we allow the heart to lead and we use the mind as a tool. But so often those two get flipped. To allow our intuition to speak and to turn down some of the noise, the overactivity of the mind, and to simply allow yourself to sit with the deeper meaning and truth of your heart.

When we connect with the heart, we realize there's so often much more nuanced and gray. That we can still love others even if they believe different things. That things don't necessarily have to be right or wrong to be good.

I can always tell when I'm in my heart because I have so much more capacity to hold nuance AND gray. Because in that space of the heart there is no duality. There's simply love.

I do believe one day our species will be able to be in that space fully and completely. But it's not quite now. So our work is to practice staying there as often as possible, to be in the heart more than the mind as often as possible.
