JUNE 2025: A SACRED PAUSE FOR PLEASURE AND INTEGRATION

THIS BLOG IS A REVISED TRANSCRIPT OF EPISODE 104 OF MY PODCAST “SOUL ARCHAEOLOGY’.

Ever since Saturn shifted into Aries, everything feels magnified. Everything is louder, bigger, more intense, and carries this sense of urgency and dire necessity.

This is the deeper work of Saturn in Aries: finding connection with our sense of self-regulation and learning to mature through that sense of urgency and intensity. Rather than rushing to respond, react, or quickly come to conclusions and decisions, we're being invited to sit with these feelings, letting them change us, shape us, and form us. We're learning to mature through presence, patience, and diligence.

The past week brought so many realizations and confronting pieces around our own reactivity—how we respond to things, how we seek that pathway of certainty. If you have any Natal Aries placements, you're probably feeling this too. This experience is amplified because we've been moving through Mars retrograde energy since last fall, which means much of what we're ready to initiate, create, and move forward still requires patience for some of us.

SELF-REGULATION

Right now, tools for self-regulation are everything. We need to create conditions for our system to feel safe while settling, safe while waiting, safe while pausing, and then determine when and what the next right move actually is.

June builds into this incredibly beautiful, aligned, expansive month. June feels like the month of Jupiter, and we're really starting to feel this energy beginning this week. Last week was admittedly choppy, with a lot coming to the surface. It felt like a pressure cooker where realizations, challenges, and conflicts were arising, most of it internal from what I'm seeing.

Trust that the grit and pressure being built last week is going to lead you into more clarity, acceptance, and ease throughout June.

We are finally entering some more easeful waters. The first half of this year was slow and penetrating, deep and excavating. It was really churning us, pushing and pulling. We still have a little of that energy in June, but there's so much more support now, so much more ease. The energy is supportive without being conflicting or pressurized.

ENERGY OF JUNE

June is about pleasure and joy. It's about reaping the benefits of being in the physical, of being present, and harvesting the rewards of all the hard work you've done over this last six-month period. In June, we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We might not have the map fully formed quite yet. We might not know what's to come or even have the plan laid out, but can we pause to enjoy being alive? Can we enjoy being in a physical body and appreciate the beauty that is harvested through presence.

June is about movement and alignment, synchronicity. It's a month of transition where we finally get to feel some of the forward movement of energy that has been building for months.

This makes June a beautiful month for planning a trip, ceremony, or anything that allows you to really sink in and be present.

ENERGY FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 1-7

This week on June 3rd, we have the Moon in Virgo conjunct the South Node. This is particularly interesting because we have significant South and North Node energy throughout June. Since the nodes are karmic, we also have a Full Moon in Sagittarius mid-month that will be squaring the North and South Node, so we're getting a preview this week of what that will bring forward.

We can think back to the themes we were navigating during eclipse season in March, specifically around control, structure, clarity, safety, perfectionism, and over-analysis.

The beginning of this week might feel confronting as things surface that we really need to release and let go of. Virgo is all about refinement, discernment, crystallization, and healing through structure, the physical, and the body.

Wherever you have Virgo in your chart, you're going to be on this journey for the next year as the South Node transits through this part of your chart. We're being asked to examine the patterns we cling to for safety, control, perfectionism, and hyper-analysis.

Since Virgo is ruled by Mercury, this can manifest as mental looping, panic or fear when things feel out of control, fixing or over-explaining, and overanalyzing. These are old survival strategies tied to being the responsible one or the one who holds everything together.

With the Moon here, we're being asked to explore where this originates from. Where does this come from? What part of you is seeking attunement, safety, and reassurance?

The beginning of this week brings that often sharp-edged clarity that can come with Virgo energy. The invitation is to release control, soften your grip, and trust that healing comes through presence, not perfectionism. Can you let go of the outcome?

This transit is inviting us to let go even more throughout the rest of June. June is not a month to grip, control, contort, try to squeeze, or wedge things into a box. It's a month to listen, prepare, enjoy, sink, and surrender.

VENUS SEXTILE JUPITER

On June 4th, Venus in Aries forms a sextile with Jupiter in Gemini. This is a beautiful transit that invites connection, curiosity, and lighthearted pleasure-seeking. This is an excellent time to send an email you've been wanting to send, connect with someone new, express your desires, or have a conversation with your partner that you've been needing to have.

This transit is flirty, playful, creative, and spontaneous. This is exactly the energy we're moving into throughout June—focused on pleasure and play. Jupiter is getting ready to shift out of Gemini, so we're being given one final squeeze on the lessons we've learned over the last year with this transit as we move from this Gemini energy into deeper, watery Cancer energy.

MERCURY SEXTILE MARS

On June 5th, Mercury in Gemini forms a sextile with Mars in Leo, creating fast, quick, confident communication. These two days are excellent for conversations, actions, and speaking from the heart. It's a perfect time to have conversations you may need to have with friends, family members, or partners.

As we move out of some of this Aries energy, we have more space to converse without aggression, without needing to make it something bigger, and without needing to make someone right and someone wrong. While we're still in Gemini season, lean into these conversations. Work through your own bias and desire to be right, good, or on a specific side, and simply remain curious. Stay open and tend to the part of you that might need that certainty.

VENUS ENTERS TAURUS

On June 6th, Venus enters Taurus, which is absolutely exciting and lovely. This is my favorite placement for Venus. While Venus is at home in both Taurus and Libra, in Taurus she's purely sensual, physical, and tactile.

If you know any Venus in Taurus people, they're beautiful, lovely, warm, and have this grounded, embodied energy. Venus moves into Taurus on June 6th and will remain there until July 4th.

After the intensity of Venus in Aries—which could be reactive, possessive, or intense—Venus gets to drop into slowness, embodiment, sensuality, and receptivity. She gets to rest in fixed Earth energy.

Venus in Taurus wants to savor life. She speaks the language of the body through texture, taste, scent, rhythm, breath, and receiving. This is the time to root into self-worth, re-anchor yourself, tend to your nervous system and physicality, and deepen into relationships that feel stable, real, reciprocal, rooted, and grounded.

The themes for this transit, which will set the tone for all of June, include redefining what it means within your own system to feel safe, held, and resourced. What does it mean to feel your body, the ground beneath you, and your root? This is about leaning into relationships and connections that feel real and grounded, healing your relationship with your body and self-worth, with pleasure and the feminine, and tending to your relationship with money and the safety and security naturally attached to it.

This transit offers an opportunity to find enough safety within your system to actually open, receive, expand, and rewrite your relationship with money, abundance, and self-worth.

After the urgency of Venus in Aries—which was all about instinct, initiation, and desire—this shift into Taurus allows us to pause and reorient, to deepen and soften. We're rediscovering beauty and simplicity in the mundane: foods, fabrics, soil, slowness, scent, taste, texture, and really tending to the nervous system.

The first part of June still carries Gemini energy, but as we move into the second half of the month, the energy begins to soften and deepen. Venus in Taurus becomes the ground beneath all of this energy, giving our systems a place to pause, rest, sink, deepen, and reorient to beauty and presence.

She reminds us that expression without embodiment is just noise—it can be scattered and easily projected from that space. She teaches us that connection without presence is hollow, and that insight without integration simply doesn't stick.

PRESENCE

While June is about motion and movement, conversation, networking, play, and pleasure, Venus in Taurus reminds us to regulate first, find presence first, land in your body, and come back to the root before reaching externally.

When I think about Venus in Taurus, I envision silk fabrics, juicy stone fruit, soft grass beneath my feet, a cool breeze on a warm day, the smell of jasmine, and oil on my skin after a shower. It's all about presence and embodiment.

This energy sets the tone for the rest of June, grounding and anchoring us while giving us solid footing. Since Taurus season this year was somewhat scattered, as Venus enters the sign, we receive recalibration and stabilization in the realms of relationships, money, worth, and values.

DEEPENING

The rest of June is truly a deepening. The beginning of June focuses on recalibration of the mind and body, while the second half invites us to drop into the heart.

We move into water and Earth: Venus in Taurus, Jupiter in Cancer, Mars in Virgo. This month is a sacred pause, an opportunity to recalibrate from the mind to the heart, spiraling inward and deeper into the heart space.

This month is about integration—truly integrating all of what we've experienced, gathered, and felt over the last six months. June is a homecoming, returning not necessarily to what's familiar, but to what's true and real: your values, your body, your needs, your center.

JUNE’S MAJOR TRANSITS

Throughout the month, we have several important activations. On the 8th, Mercury enters Cancer, moving us from the mental stimulation of Gemini into the heart of Cancer, our emotional body and feelings.

On June 9th, Jupiter enters Cancer where it's exalted. This is going to feel so much better. Jupiter in Gemini has been somewhat unhinged, inundating us with data and information. As it enters Cancer, we get to expand the heart, return home, and expand through emotional safety, nourishment, family, belonging, and intuition. This is a time to expand our emotional capacity.

On June 11th, we have a Full Moon in Sagittarius that squares the North and South Node, bringing a resurfacing of some of the karmic themes that emerged during eclipse season. We're at the halfway point between the last eclipse and the next eclipse this fall.

On June 15th, Mars in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus. We also have our third Jupiter-Saturn square, but this time Jupiter is squaring not only Saturn but also Neptune, and it's happening in Cancer and Aries rather than Gemini and Pisces like last time. This creates some tension and brings us into more intense energies mid-month.

However, June remains a month of push and pull, but with more forward momentum and more opportunities for softening, deepening, and integration.

On June 17th, Mars enters Virgo, finally leaving behind the heavy, weighted retrograde energy that Mars has been carrying since October.

On June 20th, the Sun enters Cancer. We have the summer solstice on June 24th, followed by a Jupiter cazimi in Cancer, which will be expansive and auspicious. Then we have this beautiful New Moon in Cancer on June 25th.

The energy peaks mid-June with the conflict and pressure of the squares between Mars and Uranus, and Jupiter with Saturn and Neptune. Then we soften into Cancer season at the end of the month.

June is fertile, embodied, and emotionally resonant—beautiful timing to launch something, begin something new, or start sharing something fresh. The beginning of the month and middle of the month bring some destabilization with the Full Moon squaring the nodes and the various planetary squares. But towards the end of the month, we have this beautiful alignment with the Jupiter cazimi and the New Moon in Cancer.

COMING HOME

Let this month hold you as you recalibrate, sink deeper, and truly sort through your values, desires, and truth. Come home to the center of you. Come home to your body. Come home to the rituals and practices that soften and invite beauty into your life.
