JUPITER IN CANCER + FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS: EMBODIED EXPANSION
June is one of the most abundant, orienting and supportive months of 2025. It's a month where we get to embrace the essence of Venus in Taurus, where we get to sink in and integrate all of the intense change that has unfolded over the course of 2025 so far. We get to land in June.
This beautiful grounding is further emphasized by Jupiter's shift from Gemini into Cancer on June 9th. What a beautiful homecoming this is. Both Cancer and Taurus represent home, but in different ways. Taurus is embodiment while Cancer is belonging.
This week brings one of the more activating periods of June as we enter the third week, though next week promises more ease, abundance, and expansion. This week carries more pressure, beginning with Mercury entering Cancer and building toward significant planetary movements that will shape the rest of our year.
JUPITER IN CANCER
Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9th, where it's exalted, happy, and expanded in beautiful, harmonious ways. This transit relates to relationships, belonging, safety, connection, emotional attunement, and emotional intelligence. Jupiter returns home, but immediately begins squaring Saturn, with the exact square occurring on June 15th at 1° Cancer and 1° Aries.
This square flavors the Jupiter in Cancer transit right from the beginning, telling us that this journey needs to move through the sign embodied with presence, attunement, awareness, and maturation. Jupiter expands while Saturn brings sobering responsibility, ruling time and patience. When these two square off, we're immediately brought into a level of conscious accountability.
Jupiter and Saturn have been squaring since August 2024, so if you have Sagittarius placements or significant Jupiter in your chart, you've probably felt somewhat restricted or limited over the last ten months. You might have had opportunities reveal themselves to break free and move into greater expansion.
This transit reveals where we might be clinging to safety or familiarity around topics of home, belonging, emotional attunement, intuition, courage, and emotional boundaries. The last two squares occurred when Jupiter was in Gemini and Saturn was in Pisces, focusing heavily on information and beliefs. This transit feels different because both planets have shifted into new signs, bringing fresh energy.
This square becomes a gift in many ways. Jupiter loves to expand without limits, while Saturn appreciates boundaries and structure in space and time. Without Saturn's influence, Jupiter would continue growing and expanding without foundation. These squares help create structure and boundaries, helping us understand where we've been and where we're going.
Jupiter in Gemini was intense—you might have felt overwhelmed or scattered by the sheer amount of information coming in. You might have gone through a journey of maturation, having to confront reckless patterns or areas needing better boundaries and accountability.
HEART EXPANSION
Overall, Jupiter entering Cancer is incredibly supportive and lovely, though you might initially feel challenged by the immediate Saturn square. Wherever you have Cancer in your chart, you might receive a reality check or feel somewhat limited, challenged to examine perhaps even the ways you're limiting yourself.
Jupiter operates with grace, power, and nourishment in Cancer. While Jupiter in Gemini was risky, bold, and sometimes reckless—operating in its fall and feeling overwhelming or scattered—Jupiter finds grounding in Cancer. This is about rooted expansion, especially with Saturn's immediate influence saying, "Yes, let's grow, but let's make sure we have roots. Let's tend to what we need internally and ensure we have a place of belonging."
This becomes a year of growing from the inside out, softening into your emotional landscape and intuition, leading with emotional intelligence and heart rather than mind.
HEART WALLS
This Jupiter in Cancer transit is going to crack us open. It will reveal where you're holding heart walls, where you're afraid to soften and receive. Cancer rules the 4th House of home and family, telling us where we come from and where we belong. Cancer is the sign of the womb, home, mother, protector—the shell that holds what's sacred.
Cancer holds karmic imprints of how we've learned to protect ourselves emotionally, where we've created heart walls rather than boundaries to protect ourselves. Heart walls are protective mechanisms built around our heart area, formed because there was something we needed protection from before we had the tools, resources, support, or capacity to be with the emotional experience.
They typically develop from early experiences, inherited patterns, or past life experiences where we were disappointed, didn't receive what we needed, or experienced grief so immense we couldn't hold it. All heart walls form when we experience trauma related to love and attunement.
This Jupiter transit will reveal where we hold these walls, where we're afraid to open, receive, or be seen by love, where we're operating from ego rather than heart. Think of the crab, Cancer's archetype—in shadow, it can shell up and stay closed off. It can find solace in its shell but also fall into the trap of finding more comfort in the safety the shell provides than in authentic connection.
Ideally, we create healthy boundaries and relationships built on supportive infrastructure rooted in love, so we don't have to shell up or hide behind heart walls. Saturn might reveal where we're operating from ego and where we're afraid to open.
Cancer is the sign of re-mothering, which forms so much of the healing work many of us are called to do. With Jupiter in Cancer, we'll see how old protective mechanisms no longer serve us, how they limit our growth, expansion, and ability to feel and experience love in its fullest expression by remaining walled off.
Often when someone seeks love and connection but continues attracting emotionally unavailable partners, there's almost always a protective mechanism preventing them from feeling or receiving love. This means they'll continue calling in relationships unable to meet them at the deep layer beyond the heart wall.
Jupiter expands what it touches, so wherever we feel a lack of safety, nourishment, or tenderness, those areas might come into focus. This will be a time to expand our capacity for emotional experiences, supporting deeper ability to hold emotion without collapsing, shutting down, or running away.
This is about expanding containment, expanding your shell, expanding our capacity to give and receive love freely so you can hold more of yourself, others, and life. This becomes a return to the sacred within.
This transit asks us to grow not by efforting more, doing more, or consuming more information, but by feeling more and nurturing our own inner belonging and sense of safety within. This creates space to feel more and hold more.
This won't be the fast, quick expansion we experienced with Jupiter in more mobile signs. This happens through slowness, softness, emotional attunement, safety and security. Themes around home, belonging, safety, security, mothering, family, and nurturing will be highlighted over the next year.
This transit asks us to connect with our mother line and feminine lineage. What patterns have we inherited through that feminine line? This is about building a nest. While we have cardinal energy wanting to clear and detach from patterns, this is about nurturing what's here—the wisdom, love, and medicine available to us.
ANCESTRAL MEDICINE
We often discuss what we inherit from our ancestry in terms of negatives—pain, suffering, scarcity. But what about the medicine we inherit? What about the beauty, wisdom, and resilience? Can we let that become the foundational layer of this nest? Can we allow our inner safety to weave this beautiful fabric and soften more into what we have rather than what we don't have?
This transit expands your awareness around and capacity for nourishment—the spaces that feel safe to soften in, the relationships, foods, and thoughts that feed and nourish rather than deplete. It highlights where we hold fear around intimacy, nourishment, nurturing, and emotional attunement, where we hold trauma around not feeling like we belong or are at home in our lives and bodies.
FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
This Jupiter in Cancer energy deeply colors our Full Moon in Sagittarius at 20° on June 11th at 12:43 AM Pacific. This moon squares the lunar nodes and trines Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries, affecting those with late degree mutable placements (Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, Virgo), Cancer placements (since Jupiter rules this moon), and Aries and Leo placements.
Sagittarius represents expansion, possibility, and growth. It's mutable fire, always wanting change, sometimes restless, looking for growth, expansion, adventure. Sagittarius represents the higher mind and conscious evolution. While its opposite, Gemini, collects information, Sagittarius synthesizes that information into embodied wisdom—not regurgitating or spreading information, but distilling it down.
This moon is ruled by Jupiter, and Jupiter in Cancer helps us reorient to the heart, learning to find safety and belonging internally so we can trust the heart to lead.
With any Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are opposite, and our work is finding balance between two energies. The Sun in Gemini fully illuminates the subconscious internal landscape in Sagittarius, revealing where we hold shadow around freedom, expansion, growth, knowledge, wisdom, learning, and teaching.
In Sagittarius, the Moon is on a quest for truth, knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. Sagittarius wants freedom, truth, and meaning. But with the North and South Nodes involved, especially the South Node in Virgo, the Moon asks where we're trying to control. Are we clinging to certainty to avoid surrender? Are we over-explaining or over-analyzing to avoid letting go?
This brings karmic tension because the moon squares the lunar nodes, surfacing the past and revealing where we feel stuck, perhaps gripping to beliefs, outcomes, ideas, or ideologies.
The axis of Gemini and Sagittarius involves certainty and curiosity, intuition and intellect. Gemini is curious like a butterfly, while Sagittarius wants certainty and truth, seeking to distill and synthesize gathered information into something understandable, teachable, shareable.
This moon invites us to surrender what we think we know, to let go, release control, surrender certainty, and allow the heart to lead rather than the mind. It asks us to release overthinking and over-analyzing, to observe whether we've outgrown a truth or our shell, to be okay with the unknown, and to examine our relationship with freedom.
Do you feel stuck or stagnant? Do you feel unable to take desired action? Or are you stuck without knowing it? in a belief system, idea, or ideology? This Full Moon occurs at the axis of knowledge and truth, bringing up everything around what we believe, what we know, and what we're ready to expand into.
EMBODIED EXPANSION
This is a time to pause, soften, pay attention to the body and what we're consuming, leaning into the beautiful support of Venus in Taurus. Because Saturn is involved, it teaches us about patience. This is embodied expansion. learning to expand and grow through deep, strong roots, through discipline and practicality, while still holding the vision for your greatest and highest timeline.
Saturn grounds and anchors us with sobering clarity, forcing us to tend to what we need to build foundations that are strong, stable, and dependable, so our expansion can last. Jupiter in Gemini was somewhat unhinged, overstimulating, and fast. growth without stability. We might have wanted to grow and expand quickly, but this Saturn influence shows us the value of steady, slow, embodied growth that can be incredibly expansive yet sustainable.
HEART CENTERED LEADERSHIP
This is a lucky, abundant time filled with blessings. How can we root deeper to grow wider branches? With all these transits, especially over the next year, we're being initiated into heart-centered leadership and service as conscious warriors, learning to temper our drive and fire for good so we can channel it through the heart and create from spaces of integrity, balance, emotional intelligence, and attunement.
Personally, this means you might feel tender. There might be revelations around where you feel blocked from receiving or love, where you hold patterns of pushing away or avoiding what you truly desire in relationship, where you feel stuck or stagnant, and where beliefs need revisiting.
This will be an incredibly expansive week, giving us an opportunity to peek into the next timeline while showing where our work lies in fully stepping into it. We're learning that true expansion comes not from reaching outward, but from growing inward. from the safety and belonging we create within ourselves, allowing us to open more fully to the love and abundance that surrounds us.
